The JBL Bar2.1, Bar500, Bar800, and Bar1000 are available for sale to Indian customers from Jan 17 onwards
The audio solution giant HARMAN’s arm JBL recently launched in India its new BAR series of soundbars. The price range for the same has been kept from INR 34,999 to INR 129,999 for the higher variant. As per the official announcement, the products have been made available for Indian customers from January 17. On the occasion, Vikram Kher, Vice-President, Lifestyle, HARMAN India said, “We are all set to elevate our customers’ experience to a whole new level with world-class surround sound home theatre experience”. The specs of the products are mentioned below:
JBL Bar 2.1 Deep Bass
The new JBL Bar 2.1 Deep Bass, as the name suggests, is a compact system with a promising 300W of immersive audio experience with Dolby Digital and JBL surround sound technology. On connectivity front, the product can be connected to the TV via single optical of HDMI cables and the inbuilt bluetooth for wireless connectivity. The sound coverage and speed could be further enhanced with the help of wireless down-firing sub-woofer along with an Enhanced Audio Return Channel HDMI.
JBL Bar 500
This is the 3rd highest in terms of price and specs in the newly launched series. JBL Bar 500 comes with a PureVoice technology for enhancing voice clarity.The 590W sound system works on MultiBeam technology and Dolby Atmos 3D surround sound which gives listeners a complete cinematic experience. Other specs inclue a voice assistant-enables speakers with 10-inch wireless down-firing sub-woofer for ensuring bass-rich audio besides a built-in Wi-Fi support for Apple AirPlay2, Alexa Multi-Room Music and Google Chromecast.
JBL Bar 800
JBL Bar 800 is comes with 720W capacity. Like above 2 variants, the product is supported by Dolby Atmos sound system, 2 up-firing speakers, detachable battery-powered rear surround speakers and 10-inch wireless down-firing sub-woofe, PureVoice technology feature (Like JBL Bar 500) and a supporting voice assistant-enables speakers. Again, Like the JBL Bar 500, even this supports built-in Wi-Fi support for Apple AirPlay2, Alexa Multi-Room Music and Google Chromecast.
JBL Bar 1000
JBL Bar 1000 comes with 880W sound capacity featuring Dolby Atmos, DTS:X 3Dimensional, and Multi-Beam surround system. Highest amongst the series, the JBL Bar 1000 comes with all specs included in the above 3 products, like a 10-inch wireless down-firing sub-woofer and 4 up-firing speakers. Other features include eARC HDMI, voice assistant-enables speakers and a support feature for built-in Wi-fi with Apple AirPlay2, Alexa MRM and Google Chromecast.
Except the JBL 2.1 Deep Bass, the other three in the series namely, JBL Bar500, JBL Bar800, and JBL Bar1000 are by default connected with the JBLONE App which gives its customer access to alter the sound equalization and mode customization as in the case of other JBL products with App support.
It be worth noting how well the above JBL products are received by the Indian consumers given the price range and similar spec offerings from other major competing brands.
