SS Rajamouli’s RRR got nominated in two categories, winning one for the Best Original Song ‘Naatu Naatu’.
On 11th January, 2023 (Wednesday), The 80th Golden Globe Awards were presented in Los Angeles. The Indian movie RRR received Globe nominations in the Best Original Song and Best Non-English Language Film categories. The SS Rajamouli-directed movie exploded in popularity in the USA once it was released in Hindi on Netflix. While winning the Globe for Best Original Song- “Naatu Naatu”, RRR couldn’t succeed in the Non-English Language Film category race.
Eight nominations for The Banshees of Inisherin were made at the ceremony, with Colin Farrell and Martin McDonagh taking home the winning slot. The Carol Burnett Award and the Cecil B DeMille Award were won by Eddie Murphy and Ryan Murphy, respectively.
